The beginning
The Pork Shop began in 2001, when the Gardner family took on a property in the heart of Poulton and started the journey that would become The Pork Shop.

2005
Uncle Dave’s recipe book
A long-lost great-uncle of the Gardner family, a Cumbrian butcher, left behind a recipe book. Inside was the original recipe for Uncle Dave’s sausage.
2007
Uncle Dave’s sausage is born
After spending time perfecting the recipe, the Gardner family introduced Uncle Dave’s sausage to The Pork Shop counters in 2007.
2015
A fresh look
The Pork Shop got a new look, with updated branding and a refreshed shopfront.
2018
Pork pies at Liverpool FC
When Liverpool FC’s hospitality pork pie supplier let them down, we got the call. We went on to supply the pies for their hospitality areas for two seasons.
2019
Britain’s best steak pie
A huge year for The Pork Shop: our steak and onion pie was crowned the best steak pie in Britain at the British Pie Awards.
2020
Blackpool FC’s official pie supplier
We announced our partnership with Blackpool FC, supplying all the matchday pies at Bloomfield Road.
November 2020
PorkShop Express opens
We adapted the rear of our Poulton shop to launch a new food-to-go concept: PorkShop Express.
March 2021
The Pork Shop comes to Bispham
We announced a new partnership with SPAR, opening The Pork Shop inside their Bispham store.
August 2021
Next stop, St Annes
Our partnership with SPAR continued with the opening of The Pork Shop in St Annes.
